For a slightly different approach, telling the touching tale of festive comradery on the Western Front in 1914, try Happy Christmas Tommy. Delving further back into history you could also try a seasonal twist on the classics in Aesop’s Fable-ous Christmas Tree.
And no festive season would be complete without a kid-friendly production of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol – after all, it was the book that pretty much created the modern Christmas so get out, rattle your chains and get your Christmas 2013 Christmas play well under way.
