Christmas Play Scripts – the seasonal countdown begins

Christmas play scripts for kidsDid you realise that it is just 4 months to Christmas? Okay, that is plenty of time to get presents sorted out but what about your Christmas play? Have you chosen your Christmas play script yet? If not, you’d better get cracking as there’s a lot of work to be done between now and December.
If you are looking for some inspiration we have just updated our collection of Christmas play scripts and we think there is something for every taste. If you want something musical (and who can resist a good carol?) try Advent Journey with its flexible casting it is ideal for younger kids. There are literally dozens of short Christmas play scripts to be found in the pages of Christmas on Stage and Christmas Shorts.
For a slightly different approach, telling the touching tale of festive comradery on the Western Front in 1914, try Happy Christmas Tommy. Delving further back into history you could also try a seasonal twist on the classics in Aesop’s Fable-ous Christmas Tree.
And no festive season would be complete without a kid-friendly production of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol – after all, it was the book that pretty much created the modern Christmas so get out, rattle your chains and get your Christmas 2013 Christmas play well under way.

  1. I noticed that the date on this post was back in August, that’s about the same time we started planning our Christmas play. It seems early, but it has to be if you want a good show.
